Geographical Coverage

In a first step, the Open Minds initiative targets four areas of the world where people are facing difficult challenges to fight against poverty and build open, democratic and peaceful societies able to play their part on the global scene whithout sacrificing their cultural identity and inheritance:

1. Egypt and the Middle-East
2. Central Africa
3. Western Africa
4. Eastern Africa

In these countries, while the situation is very different, many children, girls and boys, have difficulty to access to quality education; many young women and young men are keen to become active citizens and take part in the development of society, but often face difficulties in accessing to the work market and in finding positive adult roles.
